Dear Manager,

Since now the substitutions are live substitutions and even Penalty Runs have increased to 8 runs per over, so I would like to suggest can we use all the 3 substitutes for future tournaments. I have a reason for this suggestion. First time in four years of fantasy cricket on cricketinc.com, I had a tied game in Round 3 of the Asia Cup 2010. If you see my scorecard for Round 3 of Asia Cup 2010, I have Z. Khan in the substitutes and if I could use him as the 3rd substitution, I could have won the match.

In Round 3 of Asia Cup 2010, I had 4 DNPs - 3 Bowlers and 1 Batsman. I used 2 substitutions and the DNPs reduced to 2 players. But even then I had to suffer 140 penalty runs (17.3 overs x 8 runs per over) even after choosing 6 bowlers in playing 11 and because of Penalty Runs I could not win the all important fantasy match. I am not complaining but just looking at the brighter side of this result. I had a tied game for Round 3 of Asia Cup 2010. If you see my Scorecard, if one of the bowlers bowled and gave less that 8 runs per over, I would have won the match. Similarly, if I could use Z. Khan as the 3rd substitution even then I could have won the all important fantasy match.

This time it was me who had 4 DNPs. Some other day, it can be some other user. Now that the Substitutions are live and even the Penalty Runs have increased to 8 runs per over, so having 3 to 4 DNPs can result in losing the match and it will hurt when someone like me who chooses 6 bowlers in playing 11 to avoid the penalty runs. So I would like to know that can we use all the 3 substitutes for future tournaments.

Warm Regards,
Anthony Francis

Dear Anthony,

The last game was a dead rubber, so both teams tried their bench strength.

Even Pak-Bangla was a dead rubber. Similar situation occurred in IPL too when MI rested key players.

In these dead rubber matches your selection matter! You have to be bold enough while choosing the final squad !

4-5 DNPs is not possible in every Fantasy game. 3 subs / per game would only complicate the issues in terms of "normal" games.

So, in my opinion, we should stick to 2 subs/ per game.

Dear Rohit,

I have made this suggestion in the interest of the all users for future games. I am not concerned about my tied game. I quoted that game just to give an example that such situation can occur in future as well. I am glad that you have given your opinion and that you are happy with 2 substitutions. Let's see what other users and Manager have to say about this suggestion. As a matter of fact, I can adjust to 2 substitutions as well. But using all the 3 substitutes will be better since we select 3 players as substitutes so why not use all of them.

@ MANGER CAN YOU DO THIS "ALLOW 4 SUBSTITUTION AND ONLY 2 HAS TO BE USE". IN THAT WAY THERE IS NO INCREASE OF USE SUBSTITUTION BUT WE HAVE OPTION TO USE MORE PLAYERS.
IT IS ONLY TO GIVE MORE OPTION, SO MEMBER CAN'T LOOSE BECAUSE THERE BLOWER OR BATSMAN NOT PLAY.
BE HAPPY KEEP EVERY ONE HAPPY !

GOD WILL ALWAYS WITH YOU.

manager no dought day by day you made cricketinc.com more and more interesting. you made so many changes all are interesting and making more compatative.

but 8 panalty runs makes it 100%luck based. from last 3 series in which match players are getting bowled out twice or big shots are making runs . only we all regular members winning there matches ex- 1st and 2nd match of asia cup in first match afridi was performer in batting and malinga in bowling and in second match sehwag was bowling performer no body will miss these type of player so majority member won there matches with high run rate .
rest matches became very difficult to win.

the thing is how many times these type of performance comes in a one day international matches . its very few.

so i want to give u humbble sugession that

1. shift to 6 panelty runs.

2. shift to old pattern of sub (not dnp or bat or bowl)

3. make 4 sub inplace of 3 as san 70 suggested. we can use more players (i am agree with him)

4 make all 3 sub autharity.

these are the suggesion has been given for better prospect of cricketinc.com
