How To Play
Fantasy Cricket Matches™
| |
- Select 14 players
- Assign 3 Substitutes ( to be used during or after the live match! )
- Decide on the Bowling & Batting Orders of your playing 11
A maximum of 8 players can be selected from the same squad. This is the only restriction when selecting
players.

Winning a Fantasy Cricket Match is just like winning a real cricket match:
The Bowlers you select, should bowl 20 overs or take 10 wickets ,
while giving less runs than your Batsmen have scored !
(In ODI Matches 50 Overs Apply)
- A cricket scorecard will be created for you for each Fantasy Cricket Match™ in the tournament
- Your players' scores and bowling figures from the specified LIVE matches are updated in REAL TIME into your
scorecard.
- Each scorecard will use the Batting & Bowling Orders YOU assigned. These decisions will determine whether you LOSE or WIN your Fantasy Cricket Match™
ODI (50 Over Match) Example
Your batsmen score a total of 265 runs in 50 overs, if your bowlers take 10 wickets or bowl
50 overs and give less than 265 runs, you win your Fantasy Cricket MatchTM
The same logic as winning a real cricket match but you get to pick the players, assign their orders, beat other users and win cash!

Your Batting Order controls the number of runs that your team scores in the Fantasy Cricket Match™.
Standard Cricket Batting Rules Apply:
Your team can bat a maximum of 20 overs (120 balls)
(In ODI Matches 50 overs apply)
Fantasy Cricket Match™ Rules:
- Once 120 balls are faced , runs scored by remaining batsmen in your batting order will be IGNORED
What If a batsmen's innings causes your team to play more than 120 balls?
- The batsmen's strike rate will be used to determine his score for your fantasy cricket match (Shown in the fantasy column) and his runs scored and balls faced will be reduced to ensure your team does not play more than 120 balls.
Batting Order Rules & Strategy
ODI (50 Over Match) Example
In the example on the right, notice Afridi has scored 100 runs of 50 balls, but in the fantasy column only 20 runs are counted, this is because the batsmen above him in the assigned batting order have played 290 balls, leaving Afridi to face only 10 balls out of the available 300 balls in a 50 Over game!!
Using his strike rate in this innings we know he would score 20 runs in 10 balls.
So most of Afridi's great innings has gone to waste for this fantasy team, had he been assigned a higher batting order say in place of Angleo Matthews all his runs would have counted and the fantasy team would have scored much more than 240 in the 50 overs.
Also notice Sangakkara, Johnson and Murali's scores are being ignored this is because 50 overs have already been played by the batsmen above so there are no balls left in this fantasy match for these players to bat!!
So think before assigning your batting order!!

Your bowling order controls the number of runs that your 'Opposition' scores in the Fantasy Cricket Match™ .
Standard Cricket Bowling Rules Apply:
Your Team can take a maximum of 10 wickets or bowl a maximum of 20 overs
(In ODI Matches 50 Overs Apply)
Fantasy Cricket Match™ Rules:
- Once10 wickets are taken or 20 overs are bowled, runs conceded by remaining bowlers in your bowling line up will be IGNORED!
- Runouts also count as wickets. Only the player responsible for dislodging the bails will be credited with the run out. Runouts are added to the Wickets column of players in your bowling line up
- Penalty Runs are added if your team does not take 10 wickets or does not bowl 20 overs,12 penalty runs will be added for each over under 20 ( 7 Penalty Runs in ODIs)
What if a bowler's figures causes your team to take more than 10 wickets or bowl more than 20 overs?
- His bowling average and economy rate in the match will be used to determine his figures for your fantasy cricket match (Shown in the fantasy column) and his overs bowled, wickets taken and runs conceded will be reduced to ensure your team does not take more than 10 wickets or bowl more than 20 overs
Bowling Order Rules & Strategy
ODI (50 Over Match) Example
In this example on the right, notice Murali's live match figures are 8 overs for 30 runs taking 4 wickets, but his figures in the fantasy match are 4 overs for 15 runs with 2 wickets. This is becuase the players above him have taken 8 wickets so only 2 are needed from Murali to get the opposition All Out!!
Also notice Suresh Raina's expensive bowling figures are being ignored as 10 wickets have already been taken by the players above him so the 'opposition' score will not include the runs conceded by Raina as they are All Out!
This has resulted in a modest 190/10 in 40 overs for the 'fantasy' opposition.Had Raina been assigned a bowling order above Murali, his runs conceded would have been added to the fantasy opposition score. So think before assigning your bowling order!!
TIP: Remember you can get wickets through run outs too
and keepers are the mostly likely players to remove the bails those of you with a keen eye may have noticed Sangakkara's figures on the right

In Multi-team tournaments such as the World Cup,Asia Cup or the Indian Premier League, there are two types of Fantasy Cricket Matches™ that you can play, Rounds & Daily Games.
- Rounds
Rounds use the scores and bowling figures of players from each team in the tournament,so for each ROUND you can pick players from any of the squads in the tournament.
Rounds are logically numbered, the 1st ROUND would use the scores from the first match of each team, the 2nd ROUND would use scores from the second match of each team..... the 16th ROUND would use scores from the sixteenth match of each team.
Depending on the schedule of the tournament, a live match could cover two ROUNDS where one team is playing its first match and the other team is playing its second match. In this case the scores from the team playing its first match will be included in the 1st ROUND and the scores from the team playing its second match will be included in the 2nd ROUND.
When selecting your players and in your scorecard, you will see the V/s info under each player informing you of the live match being used.
- Daily Games
Daily Games use the scores and bowling figures of all the teams playing on the day.
You can only pick players from the squads that are playing on the day.
You can make unlimited changes to your team 1HOUR before the start of the first match of the day.

To beat another user, you must win your match by a bigger margin ( Net Run Rate) than him.The higher your N.R.R the more users you will beat and the higher your ranking will be.
For ODIs and T20s, the International Cricket Council uses Net Run Rate to rank teams in a tournament.
Simply put the Net Run Rate is the difference between the run rate your batsmen score at and the run rate your bowlers concede.
