If you buy Ntini(Inn II) then Ntini’s second innings performance in the live match will be used in your fantasy match.
You are allowed to buy both!

If you LOSE or DRAW your fantasy match you get another F$25 so you can buy better players for your next match. There are no restrictions on the type of player or which country they play for, as long as you can buy 14 within your F$ budget .

FC SCOREBOARD

After you've submitted your orders a fantasy cricket scoreboard is created for you.

The scorebaord is divided into 4 parts

1. Fantasy Match Summary
2. Substitute Control Panel

3. Batting Order and Fantasy team total

Your players will appear in the appropriate positions on the scoreboard based on the orders you have assigned.

Once the live match starts, your players' scores and bowling figures will populate your scoreboard. So you can see your fantasy match unfold with each ball of the live match! The scoreboard shows both the live match performance of your players and the fantasy match performance of your players.

4. Bowling Order and Fantasy Opposition Total

You will need to access your scoreboard to view your fantasy match result and to use your subs. You will only be able to use your subs at the end of the test match.

You will also find links to your ranking, stats on how many fantasy teams have won the fantasy match and stats on how many teams have bought each player.

EXAMPLES

The following example of a fantasy scoreboard is based on a fantasy team that was entered for fantasy match 3 of the Epic Ashes series in 2005 at Old Trafford.
Alongside the scoreboard is an explanation of how the 4 rules of Fantasy Test Matches effect your result.

1. Overs Rule

The maximum number of overs allowed in a fantasy test match will be half the overs of the live test match. . Rain, bad light or an early conclusion to the test match will result in a reduction of overs in the fantasy match.

This fantasy test match had 184 overs because 368 overs were played in the live match.

2. Batting Rule

Once declaration score is reached, the batsman's strike rate will be used to determine his fantasy score. The runs scored and balls faced by any remaining batsmen in the fantasy team line up will be ignored.
If declaration scores is not set then all batsmens scores and balls faced will be added to the fantasy team totals
.

Warne's FM score has been reduced to 7 runs of 9 balls as the declaration total of 510 has been reached. Using his strike rate in this match we know that Warne would take 9 balls to score 7 runs. In reaching this declaration score that fantasy team faced 146.5 overs leaving them 37.1 overs to get 10 wickets and win this fantasy test match.

3. Bowling Rule

a) Overs Bolwed by fantasy team cannot exceed reamining overs in the fantasy test match. Once remaining overs reach 0, the bolwers average and economy rate will be used to determine his fantasy match bowling figures. Runs concede and wickets taken by remaining bowlers in the line up will be ignored.

Flintoff's figures have been reduced to 3.5 overs for 10 uns and 0 wickets and the figures of the remaining bowlers in the line up are ignored. This fantasy match is a draw as the bolwers did not have enough overs remaining to take the 10 wickets. Did the bastmen play to slow or was the declaration score set to high by this fantasy captain? Little bit of both!

All is not drawn, ther are still those subsitutes that can come in to win this fantasy match!

4. Substitute Rule

Susbstitutes take on the bowling and batting order of the player they repalce
Only 2 of the 3 assigned substitutes can be used
If your substitute does not participate in the live match he cannot be used

SK Warne (Inn I) has been substituted by Simon Jones (Inn I), so Jones takes Warne's assigned batting order(9th) and bowling order (1st).
A good call by the fantasy captain causing an impact on both the fantasy batting and bowling.

With Shane Warne out of the line up ,the fantasy team's score is now 503 runs in145.2 overs . This is less than the declaration score but it has caused an increase in the overs remaining as well as a dramatic change in the bowling card.

Simon Jones (Inn I ) bowling figures have replaced Shane Warne's and resulted in a very close fantasy match with the fantasy opposition 9 down for just 111 runs, still a drawn match.

Flintoff needs another 4.5 overs to claim that all important 10th wicket. Using substitute GO Jones (Inn II) to replace Ian bell (Inn I) will free up more than enough overs to result in a fantasy match win.

Fantasy teams are ranked on their margin of victory and subs can help increase that margin even if you've won your fantasy test match without their assistance

Substitutions are not final until you click the confirm button in the substitute control panel, so you can try different combinations of subs until you've got the best result possible. Once confirmed though they cannot be unconfrmed!

Subs that do not play in the live match cannot be used, which is why the sub button is missing from S CLARK II in the substitute control panel. In short you can't substitute someone who has played with someone who has not played, no matter how much you may want to!!
