  2. Winning a Fantasy Cricket Match™ is as simple as winning a real cricket match:
Your bastmen should score as many runs as they can in the 50 overs of your batting innings.
Your bowlers should take 10 wickets or bowl 50 overs for less runs in your bowling innnings!
    • ODI Example - Your bastmen score a total of 300 runs in 50 overs, your bowlers bowl 50 overs for 220 runs, you win the match by 80 runs!
    • T20 Example - Your bastmen score a total of 160 runs in 20 overs, your bowlers take 10 wickets for 60 runs, you win the match by 100 runs!
    • The more runs you win by, the higher your ranking will be!!
  3. The scorecard will be updated with your players' batting, bowling and fielding performance from the live match.
*Your players can get wickets via runouts too, only the player who dislodges the bails gets the run out. Run outs are added to your players W (wickets taken) column in your scorecard.
  4. The 2 basic rules of cricket are followed in your scorecard, adding logic and strategy to the game:
    • ODI Batting Rule - Your team can bat for a maximum of 300 balls ( 50 overs ).
After 300 balls are faced by players in your batting order, any runs scored will not be added to your batting innings total.
    • T20 Bowling Rule - Your team can bowl a maximum of 50 overs or take a maximum of 10 wickets.
After 50 overs are bowled or 10 wickets are taken by players in your bowling order, any runs given will not be added to your bowling innings total.
    • Winning when batting first :
Your bastmen should score as many runs as possible in the 20 overs of your batting innings. Your bowlers should take 10 wickets or bowl 20 overs for less runs in your bowling innnings.
T20 Example - Your batsmen score a total of 200 runs in 20 overs, if your bowlers take 10 wickets for 120 runs , you win the match by 80 runs with a Net Run Rate of +4.00!
    • Winning when bowling first :
Your bowlers should take 10 wickets or bowl 20 overs for as few runs as possible. Your batsmen should score 1 run more in your batting innings!
T20 Example - Your bowlers give a total of 100 runs in 20 overs, if your batsmen score 101 runs in 10 overs you win the match with 10 overs remaining and a NRR of +5.025!

  5. If your players don't take 10 wickets and bowl less than 50 overs, 7 penalty runs will be added to your bowling innings total for each missing over.
If the live match is a T20 , 20 overs will apply to all rules and 12 penatly runs will be added for each missing over.

3. Using Substitutes

  1. You can use 2 of out your 3 substitutes after the live match is over, to help improve your ranking and win the cash prize. You can use your subs to replace a bowler who has given too many runs or even a batsmen who has batted too slowly.
  2. Access your scorecard to use your substitutes.

    1. Click on the substitute button to select a substitute. The substitute will replace the bowling & batting order of the player in your playing 11.

    2. Click on the undo button to reverse the substitution. You can try different combinations with your substitutes to get the highest ranking possible in your match
  3. You have until 12:00PM IST ( 06:30AM GMT ) the day after the live match ends to user your substitutes.
  4. If your substitute has not played in the live match (DNP), he cannot be used.

7. Strategies

  1. On Turning Tracks - Select the opening batsmen of the teams as well as no.3 and no.4 as they will get to bat when the ball is new and there will be less turn, so they have a better chance of scoring and scoring quickly. You might want to avoid picking pacers and focus instead on picking spinners.
  2. Seaming Pitch - Select middle order players instead of the opening batsmen since they will be facing the new ball on a seaming pitch when it will be toughest to bat. Focus on selecting the opening bowlers and fast bowlers instead of the spinners unless it is a world class spinner that bowls well on any pitch.
  3. Flat Batting Pitch - Keep you fast scoring batsmen on top of your batting order, while this is good strategy in all pitches it is more important in high scoring matches where many batsmen play long innings, facing a lot of balls, and you don't want to miss out on quick runs in 50 over (ODI) or 20 over (T20) matches. Focus on the economical bowlers rather than wicket taking bowlers as they tend to be more expensive on flat batting tracks.
  4. Substitutes, Bowling and Batting Order Strategies Your substitute's performance can replace the batting and bowling figures of any player in your playing 11 to help improve your result! So select two of your best players as subs since you will be able to give them the best bowling and batting order after seeing their scores! Your third substitute does not have to be one of your best players but he can still be useful to remove expensive overs by a bowler in your playing 11 or a slow innings by a batsmen in your playing 11.

The bowlers average and economy rate in the live match will be used to calulate his bowling figures for the wickets or overs remaining in your bowling order .
  5. What are rounds?
In multi-team tournaments like the world cup IPL and Big bash you can also enter a team for each round in the tournament. Rounds will use scores from all the teams in the tournament over multiple days, so you can select players from any team for each round.
Rounds are logically numbered; Round 1, Round 2, Semi-Finals round etc.
    - For the 1st round, player scores from each team's First match will be used
    - For the 2nd round, player scores from each team's Second match will be used
    - For the Semi Finals round, player scores from each team's semi final match will be used
  6. What is the difference between batting first and bowling first in a Fantasy Cricket Match™?
Just as in a real cricket match, when batting first your team will bat till it has used up all the overs or it is all out. When bowling first, your batsmen must score just 1 run more than your bowlers have given!
  7. What happens if the live match is abandoned?
If the fantasy match uses scores from only one live match and that live match is offically abandoned then the fantasy match is also abandonded.
If the fantasy match uses scores from more than one live match the fantasy match will only be abandoned if all the live matches involved are officially abandoned or the average overs played is less than 20 for ODIs or less than 5 for T20s.
No prizes will be offered for abandoned fantasy cricket matches , any match fees will be refunded and results will not be considered in the tournament rankings.
  8. What happens if the allotted overs are reduced in the live match?
If the allotted overs are reduced in any of the live games involved in a fantasy cricket match, then the fantasy cricket match is reduced to the average number of allotted overs in the included live matches.
Consider the following example where the match length is reduced for both teams:
Fantasy Cricket Match includes the following live games, Aus V Ind ODI and Pak v Eng ODI
Aus v Ind - Reduced to 20 over game
Pak v Eng - Reduced to 10 over game
Your Fantasy Cricket Match will be reduced to a 15 over game (average overs allotted per innings and rounded up)
Consider the following example where the D/L method is used in the first live match and the second live match is abandoned due to rain:
Fantasy Cricket Match includes the following live games, Aus V Ind ODI and Pak v Eng ODI
Aus v Ind - Aus gets to bat 30 overs and Ind only gets 20 overs
Pak v Eng - Pak gets to bat 20 overs and Eng gets 0 overs
Your Fantasy Cricket Match will be reduced to a 18 over game (average overs allotted per innings and rounded up)
